BobBob Preston, Handicap Secretary. "Helicopter "
Bob Preston, co-founder and organiser in chief for much of the life of the DON Club. Had been a member of the "Odd Fellows" for 2 years but was not invited back on the third due to shattered nerves of some very sensitive people. As he was not being invited Dave suggested forming the DON Club and the rest followed. Started playing golf in 1991 when the football career was over, tried pitch and putt but it was too gentle . Five time winner of the DON Club Trophy and wants to keep it.

DaveDave Forrester, "Harpic"
Dave Forrester, co-founder of the DON Club in 1994 and original playing partner of Bob. Dave joined the "Odd Fellows" through work and brought Bob, Martin and Mick along. Has been known to put the most disgusting items in his mouth, hence the nickname. Budwiser drinker of long standing, uses it to flavour garlic bread. In 2007 his game has started to return. In 2007 Dave won the Aaron Bergin Trophy in Kilcock after a play-off with Noel McClean brother in law and best bud. Maintaining his form in Portugal he played very steady golf and finally won the DON Club Trophy in 2008. Well deserved for years of being willing to try.

MickMick Preston, "Psycho"

Mick Preston, longest driver of the ball in the DON Club. Not great around the greens, but he can drive par 4's so there are compensations. Should have won twice before but once blew it and earned his nickname. Organised the first ever DON Club event at Thorpeness in 1994. In Blarney 2008 Mick won the Aaron Bergin Trophy over two days with a second day 37. Could he finally be ready?
